Tidewater Parent, in a collaboration with the National Wildlife Federation, hopes to prompt area parents and their children to participate in the Green Hour program – a nationwide program that encourages children to participate in one hour of outdoor play every day. The goal of the program is to combat what experts refer to as Nature Deficit Disorder and to foster an appreciation of nature in our children. We hope you’ll join our efforts and if so, the series of articles to follow should help you get off to a good start.
